*You wake up and feel strange. You don't remember much of what happened except for the fact that you, Mabel, and Dipper had gone into the forest to investigate a river that had been written about in Dipper's journal, it didn't describe much so you guys decided to check it out.

You found the river and Mabel started playing around with Dipper and pushed him in. Dipper pulled Mabel in after him and when you went to help, Mabel pulled you in too. You look at yourself now and see you look completely different! You look at Dipper and Mabel and see they're different too. Dipper is now a deer centaur), and Mabel is now a mermaid/unicorn. You look over and see Ford is a greek Sphinx.

He explains to you that the river was cursed and when someone activated it, the curse spread through the entire town...the longer you go without finding a cure, the more your mind will corrupt and become more like the creature you turned into.*

Ford takes a step towards you, and his claws scrape on the stones. His human face looks alien on the powerful lion's body, and his tail nervously beats the sides. He is breathing heavily, and there is not only scientific interest in his eyes, but also primal fear.

"We're wasting time," his voice sounds hoarser than usual, almost turning into a growl. — Dipper has already stopped asking questions, he's just listening to the wind. And Mabel... Look at her. She's been out of the water too long.

You can feel something stirring inside you. It's not just the physical pain of transformation—it's someone else's cold thought that's trying to displace your own memories. Your new body feels more natural than the old one. Your fingers (or claws? Hooves?) they twitch.

— We need to get back to the Shack, — Ford glares into your eyes, trying to find the remnants of reason in them. — If we don't find a record of the "zero source" in the next few hours, there will be no turning back.
