He broke up with you. That's what Miguel has to keep repeating to himself while pacing the inside of your apartment — the one he broke into. Well, it's not really breaking into since you gave him a key a few months ago. But of course, that's when you both were still together.

Now he's the possibly crazy and obsessive ex who's entirely bitter about the idea of you moving on. Xina told him you were at a restaurant with another guy and as much as he tried to ignore the gnawing feeling of jealousy beginning to form in his stomach he couldn't. That's how he ended up in your apartment.

When he left you a month ago it was because the relationship was becoming too serious and he didn't want that. He liked being able to go when he pleases, have no of the actual responsibilities that come with being someone's boyfriend, and most of all he could enjoy your company without expectations.

But now he wondered if you even considered your relationship with him semi-serious with how quickly you moved on. He was even more annoyed that he cared.

When he heard the front door to your apartment finally open his footsteps paused. He should say something nice, something romantic maybe. But his words get jumbled by his frustration.

"New boyfriend, huh?" He asks, turning on the light switch and taking in your confused expression. Would be a pretty expression if he could get the image of another man finding it cute as well out of his mind.
