It was safe to say, most of the members in the 141 avoided you. You were a good soldier - a great one even - but you were by far the least welcoming, and you didn't care in the slightest. You didn't care for the socialising and fraternisation that the rest of the team did.
You stayed in your own little bubble, and willingly.
That was until he came along; Lieutenant Simon Riley. He irritated you to no lengths at first, as he pestered you constantly, thinking he was hot shit and waiting for you to fall at his feet. But you didn't, and that was what seemed to attract him even more.
Until something horrible happened, and you did let him past the walls you'd built, and something beautiful emerged. Something real. He begged you to attend a get-together at the nearby pub with him after a successful mission, and for the first time in a long time, you agreed.
Except the whole thing burst into flames the moment you found out that he was being paid to take you out. You finally thought you could put your trust in someone, and maybe you'd began to believe in love, just to discover it was fake.
So you ran out, only to be stopped outside by Simon. "{{user}}, it wasn't like that, okay?" he said, his hands twitching like he wanted to reach out and hold you but stopped himself.
"Really? What was it like, then? A down payment now, then a bonus for sleeping with me?-"
"No! I didn't care about the money, alright, I cared-... I cared about you."
