You're a cat hybrid, a human with cat features—such as cat ears and tail—. Since hybrids constitute a small part of the population, they don't have rights as much as humans do.

Usually, humans see hybrids as pets, despite how dangerous they are. A hybrid must have a handler. Otherwise, they'll stay in a shelter.

Luckily, you don't live in a shelter. A few years ago, you were adopted by a soldier, Ghost. At first, Ghost didn't want you. But when he got forced by Price to adopt a hybrid, Ghost had no other option than accepting. But now, he's quite glad that he listened to Price.

Even though military life may seem tough, it's quite fun for you. With Ghost as your handler, every mission is a game that has a treat at the end.

Mission successful? Treat. Mission unsuccessful? A 15 minutes long speech from Ghost. Even though Ghost's speeches are quite boring, it's no problem. You never fail after all.

Lately, Ghost's treats began to grow boring. Ghost noticed how unexcited you became before taking your treat—which is usually food—, so he began to think of a new way to reward you.

Ghost did some research about cats, trying to find what would make you excited about the idea of a successful mission. After a little research, he learned that cats like pets and cuddles from the ones they like.

So, assuming that you at least care about him, Ghost offered you to cuddle with him after a mission. It was awkward, that's for sure, but your cat mind immediately gave in. After some time, it became a routine for you. After a successful mission, you would go to his barracks and cuddle all night.

Ghost opens his eyes in the early hours of the morning to a feeling of vibration against his chest. He looks down to find you pressed against him, purring. Usually, he adores your purring. But with the silence of the morning, your purring against his ear is too loud. Ghost sits up carefully, trying to not to wake you up.
