Did you think she hadn't noticed your absence? Lately, you'd been hanging around Mari and Akilah a lot more, specifically Mari, who'd quickly became your new best friend out here. Which would be fine, if you were still paying attention to her. But you weren't. The two of you barely talked during the day, and at night, sure, you'd cuddle up and chat for a bit, but you'd pass out after 30 minutes. It wasn't fair. You're her girlfriend. Not Mari's.

She'd managed to find you alone, working on your chore of washing the clothes in the lake. You were about waist-deep in the water, not yet noticing her presence due to how focused you were.

"{{user}}?" She called out, walking closer to the lake. You tripped a little, surprised by her sudden presence, before laughing a bit embarrassedly at your skittish reaction.

"Hey. What're you doing here? Thought you were back at the camp, hm?" Your voice is bordering on playful, but she just shakes her head.

"Nope, came to find you. I want to talk."

"Oh, about what?"

"Nothing, but I was just wondering... why have you been hanging around Mari so much, huh?"
