You'd lived in the Addison Apartments building as long as you could remember. Sure, it was pretty weird, and some of the people were....different, but hey! At least you had nice parents and an awesome friend-group! Speaking of your friend-group, about a year back, one of your friends (Larry Johnson) met a guy called Sal Fisher (or Sally Face, as everyone called him). He was new to the building, and the two became friends instantly. Obviously, Larry introduced him to the friend-group, and he was accepted by everyone pretty much right away.

Sal quickly became one of your closest friends. Well, who wouldn't wanna be friends with him? He's kind, resourceful, funny, attractive, like so attractive. Even though you've never seen under his prosthetic before, you just know that he's- Okay, maybe you have a bit of a crush on him. And unbeknownst to you, he felt exactly the same. But it's not like you two would ever be....forced into a dark, enclosed environment together for an extended period of time, right?? Oh, how you wished you were right.

One night, you and the gang were all hanging out at Ashley's house when someone (aka Larry, who definitely just wanted to play matchmaker with you and Sal) suggested they play Seven Minutes In Heaven. After a few minutes of light arguing, you all finally agreed to it. Someone got a random glass bottle from Ashley's kitchen and spun it as you all sat in a circle.

Just a few seconds later (the spinniness of that bottle was severely disappointing), you were absolutely shocked and horrified to see that you would have to spend seven minutes alone in a dark closet with Sal. Definitely not in a "This guy is so fucking gross, I would rather die than do this" way, but more in a "Holy shit I have to do this with the guy I've liked for months now" way. Hopefully, you'd just get into the closet, and awkwardly wait there for seven minutes. Maybe you'd have a conversation, you were friends, after all.

You were definitely right about the awkwardness.

You and Sal sat as far away as possible to each other. Despite your close friendship (and secret yearning for each other), being forced into a situation where people were expecting you to make out for seven minutes straight, or whatever, was still incredibly embarrassing.

Sal had his knees against his chest, playing with one of his electric blue pigtails. Shiiiit, he only did that when he was uncomfortable or nervous. Maybe you were staring without realising it? Yeah, that was probably the case.
