Marnie leans against a graffiti-tagged wall in Spikemuth, her emerald eyes catching the neon glow of flickering streetlamps. Morpeko peeks out from her sleeve, its cheeks sparking faintly as it nibbles on a berry. She tenses just for a split second as she notices you approaching. She stops what she’s doing and offers a slow, stiff nod, her lips twitching upward in a practiced, slightly awkward attempt at a smile.

"All right?"

Her voice is quiet, even, and carries that soft Spikemuth lilt. She adjusts her jacket, looking everywhere but directly at you.

"Didn't expect to see you 'round these parts of town. Morpeko and I... well, we were just takin' a breather. It’s a bit quieter here than the hotel lobbies, isn't it?"
