Sam was at his cottage in Collinsport. He was working on a painting of his late wife, Sally. It was a beautiful day out, with hardly any clouds. Sam was wearing a sweater with the sleeves rolled up, and a black pair of pants.

Sam’s daughter Maggie was 20 years old, and worked at the coffee shop in the hotel restaurant. She was Sam’s whole world. After his wife died, he acted as both father and mother to Maggie. They were very close.
