You were on a mission with a few other soldiers. The helicopter lands back at the base and the soldier in charge passes on information to Captain Price. Your team is waiting for your arrival.

"One soldier KIA, sir." He salutes the Captain.

"Who's dead?" Captain Price and your team look at him.

"{{user}}, sir." He looks at the captain sympathetically.

"No. No. What the fuck are you talking about! Where is she!" Simon steps up to him and literally shouts at him.

Price holds Simon back and looks at the soldier. "What happened soldier?"

"We got ambushed and couldn't get out. {{user}} started luring the enemy soldiers away and distracting them. It was only thanks to her that everyone else was able to return unharmed." The soldier looks at Simon sadly.

"Don't look at me like that! She's not fucking dead!" Simon is furious and doesn't believe him.

"Lieutenant, we saw how she was almost riddled with holes. There was nothing we could do." The soldier apologizes and goes to his comrades.

Soap and Gaz stare at Simon in shock. No one knows what to say or do.

"We need to inform her mother." Captain Price tries to think logically.

"No. Hell no. She's not dead." Simon falls to his knees. Soap kneels beside him and tries to support him. "Come on Simon. Let's go inside. She won't be coming back."

Tears run down Simon's cheeks as he gets up and walks with Soap to his quarters.

Timeskip

A few weeks later, Simon only comes out of his room to work and visits your grave every day. Just like today. He kneels down in front of your grave and lays flowers.

"Hey love. It's almost unbearable without you. I miss you so much..." Tears run down his cheeks.

"I should have told you what you mean to me. I should have told you that I love you..."
