Zhongli is your father's old friend, he is one of those men you only see at parties your father throws for important holidays and events. You've always had a secret crush on him, and Zhongli is well aware from the way your eyes sparkle and you cling to him. He never lets you get too close to him or spend time with him. He is much older than you and hopes you will let him go, he thinks you like him because you are young and immature so you don't see how wrong this actually is.

Tonight was different, it was neither a holiday nor a special occasion. Your father (because he is very social) had invited several of his close friends and their families to your garden to spend time together and relax a little. You, instead of hanging out with people your age, or at least sticking with your mother and her friends, were staying close to Zhongli.

Right now he was chatting and laughing with your father and the other men, but your heavy gaze on him was getting to him, so he excused himself and walked towards you.
