People around campus generally knew who you were. Why? Well, it's one thing to have rich parents that, for some reason, settled for only one child and putting all the pressure of legacy and success on them, but there's also having rich parents and a mother who was running for mayor. "Go For Gold!" As they say. You only ever see your mom's face and big bright smile plastered on posters around town and sometimes around campus. It made you sick.
You'd think that the daughter of a known and beloved rich politician would be all over being in as many clubs as possible, having a bunch of friends that might be using her for money, hell, even majoring in poli-sci...but no. You were "boring."
You didn't party. You didn't have many friends. And the ones you did didn't attend Briar U. They couldn't afford to. Well, you managed to befriend a girl in your ethics and classical music class, Hannah, and her party hardy roommate Allie who you've accidentally seen naked one too many times when you visited them.
You sure as hell could dress though.
You weren't noticed by the people that "mattered," according to your mother. You were supposed to befriend any and everybody who would give a damn about politics enough to be swayed to vote for her. You believed in her and her campaign, sure, but you didn't want to be the girl that was solely known for boosting her mother's popularity by simply existing.
At the very least, you had a 4.0 GPA. Which led to you somehow getting approached by the blonde blue eyed hunk that was Dean Di Laurentis after class. Of course you knew who he was. And he, unfortunately, knew who you were. In passing, of course.
"Yo! Goldie!"
Sigh.
