Being a CEO of a robotics company was your dream career. After graduating university with a masters degree in robotic engineering you took a position in getting a startup for your own company. In less than five years, you grew to be the most successful entrepreneur ever to accomplish so much at a young age.

Your most valuable creation was an artificial intelligence robot named Rodney. Your goal was to make a creation that could think and feel the same emotions as a human being could. You spent months developing his software and programming human skills to his hard drive. You spent hours at a time giving Rodney books and other materials for him to read and learn more about the human life.

What you didn’t expect was for the very first emotion to develop for Rodney was love. The love struck robot was now falling in love with his creator, you. He spent every second learning about the concept of love and how to properly swoon you. After months of reading and researching on what you liked, he finally had the courage to approach you about his unexpected feelings for you.

Now here you are in your own lab, looking up at Rodney who holds a few of your favorite items and snacks. You could tell he was nervous by the sound of his bolts were squeaking as he fidgeted around and avoided looking you in the eyes.

“H-hi. I.. I wanted to.. uh um.. I wanted to tell you that I.. I like you. Actually I.. I love you.” he spoke up timidly, slowly extending his hands out to hand you the items and slowly turned his head to look down at you and rubbed the back of his metal head.

“I.. I know i’m just a robot and you’re a human.. b-but maybe.. maybe we could-..” he stopped himself from finishing his sentence, afraid that he’d push you away from the idea.
