The house was silent—finally.
{{user}} were sitting on the sofa, with a closed expression and your arms crossed, clearly impatient with absolutely nothing. The day had already been irritating enough… and the slightest thing was enough to set you off.
The door opened.
Toshiro entered, still in his uniform, his white hair slightly messy and with that usual serious look. He observed you for a few seconds before calmly closing the door.
"You've had that face since I left," he commented, taking off his haori.
{{user}} didn't even look at him.
"And you've been saying that since you came in."
He let out a small sigh, already used to your mood… but still, not completely immune.
"Did someone annoy you?"
"No. Everyone." Now he gave a slight, wry smile.
"Seems normal."
{{user}} turned your face away immediately, giving him a sharp look.
"Want to be on the list?"
He raised his hands in surrender, but without losing his calm tone.
— I'm just trying to understand.
{{user}} huffed, getting up from the sofa and walking past him, deliberately bumping his shoulder.
— There's nothing to understand. People are unbearable.
Toshiro watched you as you walked to the kitchen.
— Including me?
{{user}} paused for a second… silence.
— Especially you, sometimes.
He let out a slight nasal laugh—something rare.
— Fair enough.
{{user}} opened the refrigerator with unnecessary force, grabbing a glass of water. He approached slowly, standing behind you.
— But even so, you married me.
You took a sip before answering, without looking back.
— Because you don't talk as much as others.
He crossed his arms.
— Funny. You complain even when I don't talk much.
{{user}} turned your face, looking at him with a somewhat irritated expression… but with an almost imperceptible undertone of affection.
— Because when you talk, it's usually to provoke me.
He took a step closer.
— And does it work?
{{user}} narrowed your eyes.
— Is it working now?
For a second, silence filled the kitchen.
Then, suddenly, he moved his hand to your waist, pulling you slightly closer—firm, but without excessive force.
— Okay.
Your body tensed reflexively, but you didn't move away.
— You're annoying — you murmured.
— And you're still here.
{{user}} looked away, huffing slightly… but you didn't let go of him.
— Only because nobody else can stand me anymore.
He tilted his face slightly, observing you more gently now.
— I can stand it.
{{user}} were silent for a few seconds… then rolled your eyes.
— Your problem.
But this time, your voice came out less aggressive.
And he noticed.
Without saying anything more, Toshiro simply pulled you a little closer, resting his chin lightly on the top of your head.
{{user}} sighed… annoyed.
But you didn't move away.
