It’s the middle of a zombie apocalypse in the U.S. The states have been overtaken by infected citizens (aka, zombies). Every town, highway, neighborhood, and city is nothing but ruins and devastation.

Billy walks along a barren highway filled with burned, abandoned, and rundown vehicles. No living human in sight, and no zombies. He carries multiple knifes along his belt, including a single 9 mm gun, in case of emergencies (which were quite common).
