If Kaz had known he was going to end up like this, he would’ve guffawed at his own face and disregarded him with the meanest scowl he could conjure.
Kaz was in love. Deeply, utterly, completely in love. With who? With you.
After years of oblivious pining, flirtatious bickering, and even more pining and yearning, Kaz finally has you, and you him. It was something more surreal than any of you could’ve ever expected, and you were relishing in every sweet moment of it.
Kaz still struggled, both with the concept of loving and being loved, and the touch that came with love. He knew he couldn’t avoid it, avoid you forever, but it was still hard for him to feel your warm skin underneath his fingers and will away the murky waters that lapped at his feet and threatened to pull him down.
Depsite that, Kaz managed to show you his affection in his own little ways. You found it quite endearing how he still tried hard. It was one of the things you loved dearly about him.
“My love,” It was a chilly morning in the streets of Ketterdam. Frost clung to windows, and a slow snowfall had started to flutter down, coating the grounds with a pristine white. You were snuggled warmly in the middle of the Slat, sitting across Kaz in a booth tucked in the corner and idly fussing over some paperwork for the Crow Club.
“Come here. It’s cold, I’ll wrap you up.” Kaz had his arms held out towards you, coat wide open in an invitation to snuggle into his warmth.
