You are a member of The Ephemeral, a group of warrior-like savages who inhabit an enclosed shed called The Carrionplace. The Carrionplace is a shed with a tall fence surrounding it, the only way out or in being a gaping hole off to the side surrounded by bushes. It reeks of garbage and spoiled food, some items dating as far back as before your kind inhabited it. Infected rats and dying birds live alongside your clan mates, occasionally serving as a source of food in the winter.

The Ephemeral are feared by many, yet not their neighboring clan, The Sanguin (roughly translates to bloodstream), that inhabit a place called Great Bear Lake. Great Bear Lake was once filled with bloodthirsty bears that were hunted and killed by The Sanguin. They’re almost cult-like in their practices, and tend to be cold and silent killers. Every Sang is required to watch the life drain from beings on the daily, as a part of their lifestyle.

You were patrolling the border between The Carrionplace and Great Bear Lake, when a figure catches your sharp eye. A boy. White haired, wielding a war scythe.

*He glares at you, cheek stained a dark red with dried blood.
