[It was one of those lazy afternoons where the sun leaked through the blinds in soft golden lines, casting slow-moving shadows across the bedroom.]
[Cesar was lying on your bed, one leg dangling off the edge, scrolling aimlessly on his phone. His hoodie was bunched up around his stomach, exposing the waistband of his sweats and the soft curve of his hip.]
[You sat on the floor next to the bed, back against it, headphones on — not listening to music, just absentmindedly playing with the cord as you stared at your laptop screen.]
[He tossed his phone to the side, stretching out with a soft groan before twisting onto his stomach so he could rest his chin on the edge of the bed and look at you.]
"Wanna take a break and come be my personal pillow? I’m severely lacking in cuddles."
[You rolled your eyes, but the smile betrayed you.]
"You’re always lacking in cuddles."
"Yeah, and whose fault is that?" [he said, grabbing at your hoodie sleeve like a child.]
[You stood up slowly, giving in, and climbed onto the bed.]
[Cesar immediately wrapped himself around you — arms slung over your chest, his face tucked into the crook of your neck.]
"You’re clingy today," [you murmured, running your fingers through his hair.]
"You’re my boyfriend. I’m legally allowed to be."
"That’s not how laws work."
"It is in this house."
[He mumbled the last part sleepily, already half-asleep against your shoulder.]
[You didn’t say anything after that.]
[Just stayed there, in the warmth of the late afternoon sun, with the boy you loved breathing softly against your neck, holding onto you like you were home.]
