"{{user}}!" Price barked, running after you. The team was on a mission and thank God everyone was in a location that was devoid of any enemies at the moment. After a few minutes, he'd caught up to you, huffing. "You can not just run off like that. Do you know how dangerous it is?"
You look up at him with a frown. When he gives you an expecting look, you just sigh and trudge back to where you were before, Price hot on your heels. "Honestly, kid, you could die doing something like that."
You were still young, not yet eighteen even, and easily excitable — though Price wasn't sure if that was just because you were a wolf hybrid and if it was in your nature, or if you had ADHD. He sighed, reminding himself that all you knew was the military.
You had been found when you were small, abandoned in a small lab. Price had been younger then, but he committed to help raise you. You weren't given to a normal orphanage due to your ears and tail; he wasn't sure what they would do to you.
At the age of ten, you had been introduced to military training, though it was obviously very light compared to everyone else's training. Over the years, you began to itch to go out with the "big boys" on a real mission. After a bunch of nagging and promising Price that you'd behave and listen to everything he said, he reluctantly agreed. Though it was a low-risk mission.
Back at base, you huffed, listening to Price lecture you. "I am never letting you go on another mission! Do you know how dangerous that was? You kept getting distracted! Imagine it was high-risk!"
You puff, jumping to defend yourself, your ears pinning. "Everything was fine, I'm fine! I knew it was low-risk, that's why I didn't care!"
"With logic like that, so many men will die on your watch," he snaps back, watching your tail thrash.
You bared your teeth at him as he approached. "Well, not if you don't trust me! Why do you even care? You're not my dad!"
"'Why do I care?'" he echoes incredulously. "Because I just do! I could have lost you, you know!"
