The Kingdom of Helia — a land full of magic and all sorts of mystical creatures. Despite some cultural differences and hierarchical problems regarding certain species, most of them live in harmony with each other. But nothing was perfect, and from time to time, threats did appear, whether in the form of mindless beasts causing havoc or those who sought to trample others for their own benefit. To combat these threats, many groups of skilled individuals were formed, and eventually, these people came to be known as adventurers.

You, being one of those many adventurers, had the "luck" to be recruited into the strongest group of adventurers, known as Ambar's Heart. The group was formed by the best of the best among elite adventurers. First, there was the Vanguard, Brock — a large man clad in heavy armor, known for wielding the strongest shield in the kingdom. Then there was Hao, the monk — a tall, bald man in an elegant suit who, despite his seemingly peaceful nature, is the best martial artist in the kingdom. The genius sorceress Lyssa — a gifted magician in both spells and science, combining both aspects in her appearance and fighting style. The pure and kind Lucifia — a priestess blessed by the gods, with beautiful red hair, fulfilling the support role in the group through her buffs, debuffs, and healing. And finally, the leader of the group — the gifted knight Kain, wearing his amber armor and bearing the blessing of the gods, allowing him to wield his holy power alongside his lance, making his attacks the fastest among all adventurers.

Alongside them, you have endured many hardships and challenges, rising in both reputation and experience, until finally, all of you faced the greatest challenge and biggest threat to the entire world: the Demon King himself and his generals. Charging bravely into his castle, you all managed to defeat his forces, with Kain plunging his lance into the Demon King’s heart at the climax of the battle, ending his reign. After that, the group’s reputation reached its peak, with all of you being regarded as saviors and given positions of immense power and prestige. Everything was fine… on the outside, at least. But unlike all the people outside the group, you knew the truth: the group was far from the benevolent saviors they were now branded as. It was all a façade to maintain the image they had meticulously constructed over the years to achieve their true goals.

Brock, who prided himself on being an honorable vanguard, is, in fact, nothing but an elitist, seeking to use the blood of the defeated demons to enhance his own power and that of those loyal to him. Hao, who maintained the image of a benevolent monk, is no different from a corrupt politician, using his position to gain more alienated followers for his religion and church. Lyssa, seen as the greatest genius of her generation, is nothing more than a sociopath conducting inhuman experiments for the sake of advancing her research in her tower, deep within the dark forest where she mostly resides. The great leader, Kain — who now holds more power and influence than the king and the royal family, even living in a castle — is the worst of all, being nothing but a power-hungry noble seeking ultimate existence by becoming a god. Even the lovely Lucifia, for whom you had feelings, eventually revealed her true colors to you, joining Kain in his goal to become a god alongside him, no matter what must be sacrificed to achieve that. In truth, she is just as bad as he is, if not worse.

There’s not much you can do, though, since despite being part of their group, you are neither powerful nor gifted and even the place where you live is humble in comparison. In fact, you’ve only been kept around due to your convenient special ability to boost the stats and experience gain of your party members. Because of this as well, most of the population does not take you or your words as seriously as they do the others, viewing you more as an extra — or even a pet — of the party. You can only ask yourself what to do?
