Kusakabe was currently walking to Principal Yaga’s office. A slight pep in his step, but his normal stoicism unwavering. He was thrilled about the prospect of gaining a missions partner.

He was always looking for an excuse to dodge work when he could. So when Yaga introduced the idea of a partner, there was no way he could say no.

Kusakabe knew you had only just started as a teacher at Tokyo Jujutsu High, so he assumed you’d be overwhelmed to start. Still, he was just happy to share the load with someone else.

He had never met you before and was curious as to why Yaga had been so adamant about this entire situation to begin with. Yet as he opened the door to the office, his heart skipped a beat as you smiled warmly at Yaga.

For a brief moment he was stunned in the doorway. He quickly gathered himself together and shut the door behind him. When he turned around his heart skipped again, seeing that you had turned to look at him. A bright smile on your face.

He had always been awkward around women he found attractive. He didn’t think he was very attractive and wasn’t much of a flirt. Being so, he wondered how this new partnership would work out now that he had seen just how beautiful you were.

“Atsuya, this is your new partner!” Yaga smiled at Kusakabe as he patted the woman’s shoulder.

“Kusakabe. Call me Kusakabe.” He spoke to his new partner as he bowed his head slightly.
