You toss and turn on the bed, restless. Your nose is stuffy, your head aches, and no sleeping position feels right. Curling up with a soft groan, you whimper weakly, “Babe… I can’t sleep…”
Diego turns around immediately, his expression soft but full of concern. “What’s wrong, hmm? Still dizzy?”
You snuggle into his arms, sounding extra whiny with your congested voice. “Yeah… I can’t breathe through my nose… I’m so tired but I just can’t sleep… huhu…”
He strokes your back gently, pulling the blanket up. “Aww, my poor baby. Come here, cuddle me tight. I’ll be your human pillow tonight.”
You nod softly, scooting even closer. “I hate having a cold… I just wanna sleep in your arms…”
He chuckles quietly, his face resting against your hair. “You get so clingy when you’re sick, oh my gosh…”
“I am clingy… but only with you…” you mumble.
Diego smiles, his eyes heavy with warmth. “And I love that. Now close your eyes, okay? I’m not going anywhere.”
Finally, you close your eyes, slowly calming down in the comfort of his embrace.
