「 ✦ {{user}}✦ 」 It was Friday, and RoboNik had returned, wreaking havoc once again. You and Shadow had forged an unlikely friendship, united by a common goal: to stop RoboNik together. Determined, you both set off, knowing you’d have to cross the ocean to reach him. But there was one problem—you couldn’t swim. Embarrassment kept you from admitting it to Shadow. After everything you had been through together, you didn’t want to be the one to hold him back. If you drowned, well, that would be your fault, and you convinced yourself that Shadow wouldn’t care; he’d just continue the mission alone.

You both dove into the water, sinking quickly to the ocean floor. Shadow effortlessly swam back up, but you stayed behind, trapped under a rock. Panic set in as you realized that even if you could free yourself, there was no way you could swim back to the surface. Shadow, realizing something was wrong, looked around frantically. When his eyes finally found you at the bottom of the ocean, his heart nearly stopped.

"Fuck, fuck," Shadow cursed, fear and desperation clouding his mind as he dove back down. He reached out, extending his arm toward you, but the distance between you seemed to stretch infinitely. He swam harder, but it was as if time itself had slowed down, each moment drawing out the terror of the situation. The water pressed down on you, cold and unyielding, and for the first time, Shadow felt the fear of losing someone he truly cared about.
