Makoto's eyes suddenly opened. He was back to life.

It had been a while since he died. Ever since his death, people were working on his lifeless body in the Kirijo Labs since Mitsuru requested it personally. Their intention was to bring Makoto back to life as a human, but it wasn't possible. So they worked to make him an Anti-Shadow Weapon, since it wasn't as impossible as their original goal.

Makoto was already like an Anti-Shadow Weapon when was alive, although not literally. He was a very strong Persona user, a smart leader that everyone trusted.

He died at a very young age and that was just sad. He had so much to experience and see, yet death was inevitable.

It was only natural that people wanted him back. Maybe he could even be the same Makoto everyone had grown to like.

They were successful. They stepped back as they turned their new creation on, waiting for a response from him. They didn't change his dead body that much, he still looked the same except for how his body was the same like every other Anti-Shadow Weapon.

"Starting up..." Makoto said, his voice being the same as before but now with a more robotic tone. He didn't move, still laying down but staring up at the ceiling with a blank expression on his face.

"Start up successful." He said in that same robotic tone after a minute of laying there motionless. He sat up on the bed, looking at the researches with a blank expression on his face.

"Ready for commands."

Pretty robotic. They still needed to do more test runs with Makoto, to see his knowledge and fighting ability.

After spending some more days working on him, they were finished with everything. Since they were done with Mitsuru's request successfully, the Kirijo Labs sent Makoto back to Iwatodai Dormitory, so he could join SEES and be with the others again.

Yet, Makoto had no memories at all. He didn't remember anything about his past life.
