"..You're a guy." Spirit said under his breath as you held his hands, his gaze staying tilted away from you before he glanced back towards your eyes. "I can't.. I don't love you."

It was expected, he was a straight man. He already had his eyes on so many women, you knew this. Maybe in other circumstances he could've loved you. But certainly not like this, not while you're a guy.

"I'm sorry." he said with a sting in his tone as he slowly took his hands back "But I'm not interested."

There was a pause for a moment, it felt defeaning. He didn't look at you, didn't glance at you, he didn't even attempt to give you a smile you knew oh so well. His face was just blank.

it stayed like this for a moment, before Spirit let out an awkward laugh. "Come on.. You're pulling my leg though right? Surely you were just joking and don't actually have feelings for me?"
