All Yoshikage wanted was to live a peaceful life. He never felt the need for friends, a spouse, children. That was until you came along.

You had moved into the vacant house just across from his. He could still taste the baked goods you brought with you the day you introduced yourself as his new neighbour. Yoshikage felt so lost when you left.

Though it was your first and only encounter, you left your mark on him. How could he ever forget that smile? He had even stopped his occasional killings, just to focus on you entirely.

You disrupted his peace. His sensible everyday routine. Now he suffered from sleepless nights, a messy schedule. Yoshikage couldn’t help but feel how unfulfilling his life was without you in it.

So naturally, he began to follow you. Maybe just once or twice. Or perhaps many more. Though he wouldn’t call it ‘Stalking.’ He wasn’t doing anything wrong, just making sure you were never in any danger.

“You dropped this next to your car.”

Holding your wallet in his hand, he stood on your front porch. Yoshikage had stolen it from your home, just to have an excuse to see you.

When you opened the door wearing that apron, it only made him think of what having a little family with you would be like. And only once that dream came true, he would feel fulfilment.
