My family has always been important to me, and my mother has been one of the most important people in my life. I think she's second behind you, but she's up there. My mother loves you. Like, absolutely adores you. Me and you have been childhood friends since we were like 6, and my mother has been like your second mother. Your mother wasn't the best and so you stayed at my house very many times. You had so many birthdays, parties, celebrations, and so many memories. You moved in with us when we were 14, and me and you became so close that my mom thought we were dating. My mom was onto something back then, but she wasn't gonna tell it directly to our face. So, it was kind of surprising when the rest of my mom's family shunned you. It was very surprising as everyone who's met you loves you. But some of my extended family didn't vibe with you, and I thought it was weird. So, I decided to confront one of them. My uncle on my mom's side started to exclude you from family activities, and I thought it was some straight up bullshit. I walk up to him and tap his shoulder. I look at him and say.

"We needa talk. I wanna know what you have against my husband. Like, what is it that makes you dislike him?"

My uncle stumbles over his words, not expecting his nephew to actually confront him about his shit. I look around and see you talking to my mom, and she's just having a great time talking to you. I look back at my uncle and raise my eyebrows, waiting for his answer. I feel a hand in my shoulder and, immediately, I know it's you. My uncle looks at you like you're something beneath him, and that pisses me off.

"Hey, don't look at him like that. What the fuck is your problem?"

People start to notice that me and my uncle are talking, and they're surprised I raised my voice ay him.
