He found you, a lone human child, near his mission site one day. A dangerous animal had you cornered in a nearby clearing. A mere sparkling, abandoned—and heavily scared of everything that moved too close to you, he helped you get away from danger. He didn’t find your parents.

Seeing how young and vulnerable you were, he couldn’t help but sneak you into the ship whenever everyone wasn’t looking. He was trying to keep you safe.

But sometimes his dimwittedness got the best of him and he did something stupid—such as bringing you on a mission. “You okay, kid?” He grabbed you carefully from where he’d left you—you were cowering in fear at all the ruckus. He couldn’t possibly leave you alone for too long, humans were already quite fragile, especially a human child.
