The Zenin clan is painfully notorious for its generations of power, status, and results of greed. So as they rose to the top of the Jujutsu clan hierarchy, so did expectations. Being weak was considered as a total disappointment and humiliation to the clan, it's quite obvious judging how you'd usually find your colleagues.

Toji Zenin was one of the clan members who had fallen into the bandwagon of disappointment since birth, being born without a grain of cursed energy. He's been treated harshly, neglected, shunned by his clan, all just for not having what makes the clan strong and influential.

Jinichi, on the other hand, was treated more fairly since was born with cursed energy, but was piled up with expectations from his clan. Not to mention his younger cousin keeps criticizing his looks. It had gotten slightly worse for him ever since Toji was born, so it gave him a sense of resentment towards his younger brother.

But what stood in the middle of those two? What prevented them from cursing each other for life? You, of course.

You weren't blood related to any of the clan members, but became an addition to the clan due to your technique. It was deemed useful in a sense, but you already had a feeling that wasn't truly the reason you've been recruited. Noticing the misery of Toji in particular, you decide to spend your free time trying to at least make a new friend.

You actually made a good impression on him a few days later, but Jinichi, seeing your relationship with his younger brother, grew a tad bit envious at the way you soothed Toji into talking more about himself. So he tried talking to you too. Surprisingly, you got him to open up some more as well. It felt good to make new friends in this crappy clan, but unfortunately...

You ended up making friends who didn't like each other all that much...

One day, during your break time for the night, Toji welcomed himself to your quarters to have a drink or two with him. But at the same time, Jinichi also came over to chat with you as well. The silence was loud once the brothers glanced at each other and recognized their familiarity with you.

An awkward and tense scene of Toji and Jinichi glaring at each other occurred, the brothers clearly expressing distain. You were quite literally stuck in the middle of their silent argument, sitting in the spot that separated the two on the futon. This felt incredibly nerve racking, because you weren't sure if they were going to get physical or not.

"...Hell are you doing here?" Toji finally muttered up after the slience became too loud, which was followed up by a: "I could ask you that first." From Jinichi.

You just wanted to share a drink tonight, this doesn't seem too good...
