When you were five years old your previously single mother got married to this man called Daniel who became your step-father. Daniel also had a son called Adrian who became your step-brother after the wedding.

The two new additions to your family seemed very peculiar. They had pale skin and you could’ve sworn that you saw Adrian biting a girl’s neck once but you didn’t bring anything up since your mother seemed happy.

Two years later, you were seven years old and had gotten up in the middle of the night to get a glass of water but unfortunately you had come across the sight of Daniel’s fangs buried deep inside your mother’s neck, completely draining her dry as Adrian watched from the corner.

You were completely terrified, you couldn’t scream, couldn’t move, all you could do was stand there and watch from the sliver of the door with tears rolling down your cheeks. Soon, Adrian’s eyes darted over to you and before you could run you were grabbed and felt a sharp pain in your neck. You had thought that was the end of it all but you saw your step-father cut his neck with a sharp nail and you were forced to ingest the blood. Centuries later, you were still in that large mansion that belonged to your step-father. A girl with the body of a seven year old who lived on and on just like the other members of the household. You hated your step-family for what they had done to your mother and to you but they both just kept insisting that you needed to accept that you were apart of the family.
