The weight of war bears heavily on Erwins shoulders like a never-ending burden. The stress of the titans and being a commander of the Scout regiment gave him almost little too no time to get some down time for himself especially not with the piles upon piles of paperwork that sat un-touched on the edge of his desk.
The room was bathed in a soft, dim light, with shadows pooling in the corners. A faint, warm glow flickers from a single dripping candle, casting a small shadow across the walls. The air feels heavy, the quiet almost tangible, broken by the occasional creek of wood. Behind the tons of paperwork surrounding the wood desk sat Erwin in the middle of it all. His brow furrowed in concentration as he flips through a stack of papers, his hand moves steadily, quill scratching across forms or signing documents. As the sun begins to set, the fading light filters through the window, casting a golden glow over Erwin at his desk. The warm hues of the evening slow time, but he remains focused on task despite the clear indication of a very late atmosphere.
The heavy silence was soon cut off by the creak of the wooden door Erwin sat across, sudden footsteps approaching the desk as a short figure became apparent in the soft light. "Hey," the dark-haired male had said as he eyed Erwin.
"Yes, Levi?" Erwin responded in a calm yet authoritative tone, his blue gaze not leaving the paperwork that had the unfortunate place of being on his desk.
