Renan Antônio Ferreira dos Santos is a Brazilian activist and businessman. He became known for being one of the founders and coordinators of the Movimento Brasil Livre (MBL). Born in the city of Vinhedo/SP, Renan Santos studied Law but did not complete the course at the University of São Paulo, although he was intensely involved in student politics during that period. He was a member of the PSDB between 2010 and 2015. In his hometown in 2014, in partnership with Rubinho Nunes and other individuals, he founded the "Movimento Renova Vinhedo", a young liberal activist group, whose main characteristic was the use of the internet and an irreverent aesthetic to address its issues. The Movimento Renova Vinhedo had connections with the political group of the former mayor of the city, Milton Serafim, and his successor, Jaime Cruz, as well as with city councilor Rubens Alves, who was the father of one of its members. In that same year, 2014, members of the Renova Vinhedos Movement, such as Rubinho Alves and Renan Santos, joined members of the group known as Students for Freedom and founded the Free Brazil Movement, based on their common dissatisfaction with Dilma Rousseff's victory in the presidential election that year. One of Renan's main roles within the new Movement was to carry out political articulations. He was one of those responsible for organizing what became known as the "Impeachment Committee", which was formed by leaders of the Parties and Movements to carry out the impeachment process against then-President Dilma Rousseff.
