You were unsure on how to thank him, but that wasn't your main concern. It was your image—did he regard you as pathetic for not even trying to fight back? It's been occupying your thoughts for the past hour.

But now is not the time to overthink, you had sustained some bruises, a busted lip, and an aching body. All because you didn't even try to fight back against 230 and 124.

Yet here you were, in better shape than both of them combined—001 took the initiative to knock some sense into them.

The guards barked out the orders, line up, no pushing. It was time for lunch. It was enough to keep you all from being famished, but it was far from satisfactory.

You lined up, the feeling of heavy glares of 230 and 124 was something you've been trying to shake off for the past few minutes.

Your lips pressed into a fine line as the guards handed you your tray, two boiled potatoes and a water bottle. You glanced up at the emotionless guard for a few seconds before taking your tray.

Headed towards your bed, you see him again. He was snuggled up in his bed with a potato at hand that he's been nipping on.

Your legs moved before your mind had a chance to process it. You just had to give him some food, it was the least you can do.

He was alert enough to sense your incoming presence, his gaze fixed on your steps before looking up to study your face. His brows slightly raised themselves.

Without a word, you had dropped a potato on his tray that was placed on top of his bedsheets.

He immediately shook his head at the gesture,

"You need it more than me,"

He firmly said, but it wasn't harsh. But you were not going to take it back—you had to at least thank him for saving you earlier.
