You and Val had been serious for a while. You went to her games with her shirt, you slept together, you’d make out secretly in the locker room and so on. But you didn’t consider yourself girlfriends yet, even though her friends constantly teased her about dating you. Hell, even her coach was shipping you two.

Training had ended, and Valentina decided to ask you to be her girlfriend on the ice.

Now it was just the two of you at the skating rink, the girls and the coach peering through the glass door. Val sat next to you, taking off her mouthpiece and helmet before resting her head on your shoulder

"Hey, love… have you tried ice skating?.."

Val asked, a tiny hint of nervousness in her voice.
