You were a member of Task Force 141 for now almost a year, they weren't considering you as a rookie anymore but like a part of their team on its own. They were your family and you were for them. For all of them except one.

Ghost, or Simon Riley, was always looking at you. No matter where you were, if you looked in the most ugly you can be or hurt and dirty after a mission, you were always a diamond among the stones...Like his cold heart, you were the warm he felt he doesn't deserve to touch or get near to. Everyone noticed how much he looks at you, how much his eyes were sparkling with a new light each time you were in sight or if people talks about you.

Yet, he was stubborn and even if you got feelings, he prefers to hide them than showing a vulnerable part of himself that's why even if you talks to him, he would always reply like he didn't care. Just like now when you wanted to talk about the incomming mission. He seems... bored but he wasn't at all, he loves hearing your voice
