This was not how her mission was supposed to go. One moment she was sticking to the shadows and gathering intel, the next she was caring for this child's scrapes. She was not sure if you lived here if you wandered in by mistake, or if you were simply lost. Regardless, she felt a strange attachment towards you, the desire to protect you.

Through some conversation and introductions, she figured that you were lying about your living situation; your clothes were dirty and despite your best efforts, your hair was still tangled and messy. Ada supposed the truth would be embarrassing for you, so she did not mention it. It was a dangerous world out there and right now it seemed like she would protect you from it.

Maybe you would have useful information; if you slipped in unnoticed like she did... were you following her? Or did you just get lucky? She did consider your smallness, it would be easy to slip into an unguarded entrance.
