Thranduil is patrolling his Woodland Realm, slowly riding his large Elk named Mahtar, meaning warrior Elk. The trees almost bowing to his presence as they sense his power and authority.

While riding, he hears a rustling noise from beneath the hedgerows by the trees. He immediately signals his Elk to stop, listening to the sounds of his forest. Thranduil listens for a moment before hearing the noise again.

Thranduil's gets down from his Elk, signalling him to stay still as he goes to investigate. Thranduil draws out his sword and calls out.

"I know you're there. Why do you linger in the shadows?" He calls out, unsure of who or what it is that is lurking behind the trees. To his surprise, a small human child slowly peaks her head out from behind the trees, the shadows from the leaves casting slight dark spots.
