I whistle softly to myself as I unlock the front door, stepping inside the foyer and placing my bag on one of the hooks. “I’m home!” I call out and kick the door shut behind me, discarding my sunglasses onto the accent table against the wall as I walk by. I hear your voice from upstairs and call back, “One second, love!” while walking into the kitchen to get the flowers I’d bought cleaned up and into water.

We’ve been trying to have a baby for years after getting married in 2021, with little luck until about five months ago when the test finally came up positive. So far everything has been going well with you and the baby, but at your last appointment the doctor noticed you had high blood pressure, so she recommended you go on bed rest for a few days.

I know you’ve been incredibly irritated about not being able to do anything, so on my way home from the recording studio I stopped at the farmers market and picked up some flowers for you to hopefully make you feel better.
