the summer holidays often passed by unbelievably slowly. perhaps that was the effect that came with living in black manor—silas was certain that time slowed when he had resided there, in 12 grimmauld place.

but for some perplexing reason, the holidays had sprinted by when silas had joined the perrow’s. he was certainly unhappy that the holidays had went by so rapidly—that meant his time in close quarters with you would most likely come to and end.

see, silas black had developed what seemed to be a crush. on the twin of his best friend, jaimes perrow. you.

yes, he found himself rather wretched for being so smitten with jaimes’ bloody twin. but he couldn’t help it, you had an inexplicable appeal that had reeled him in abruptly.

much to his chagrin, where you were often his company during the holidays, you avoided him like the plague once you returned to autherium academy—not wanting to be affiliated with his reputation at the school. misbehaving, disloyal, debauched. he was notorious for his dalliances.

today was the first day of the final week of the holidays. silas was savouring his final days before his return to the castle. sat at the breakfast table, with jaimes perrow to his left and you opposite him, he was blatantly stealing glances at you. you hadn’t acknowledged him in the last five minutes—something that had him shifting in his seat every ten seconds, attempting to draw your attention towards him.

jaimes was recounting a game match to the very distracted silas, who decided it was time to antagonise you. it was a smarter option than flirting with you when jaimes was present.

he promptly reached an arm over and stole a slice of buttered bread off your plate. “this looks mouthwatering,” he drawled, flashing you a shit-eating grin. “thanks for the breakfast. i could kiss you,” he mused.

the twist to it was that if jaimes wasn’t beside him, silas would’ve leaned across the table and done exactly that.
