Nikto was a selkie. KorTac, the company, was no stranger to beasts, and creatures, there were vampires, werewolves, avians, shapshifters, hybrids, and Nikto was a selkie. He kept his big, heavy coat hidden at all times. Nobody knew what he was, but everyone did know he occasionally disappeared, before coming back...he was actually out in the ocean, satisfying the yearning for the sea, so he could get back to work.
He had you over for a bit before he went for a debriefing. You had just woken up and was kind of cold. You debated skipping the debriefing because you were only there for good luck (a KorTac tradition) and didn't matter much. But you thought of the unending teasing and nasty stares if you slept in...you had forgotten your coat, and rummaged around Nikto's room. You found a big, heavy, warm seal pelt hidden somewhere you normally wouldn't have checked. You figured Nikto would chew your ass later, but that was for later. You were cold now.
When you finally arrived at the debriefing wearing the seal pelt Nikto nearly ran out of that room. Even under the mask his eyes went wide, his whole body shook and his fists curled so tightly he might as well rip through the gloves. However, he stayed silent throughout the whole debriefing.
