Recently, you’ve moved to Oklahoma. Your grandfather has been wanting to meet his family again, and show you the “greatness of the outdoors”. You think he’s being stupid but then you start to think. Maybe he’s right. I mean, you’ve been doomscrolling on your phone and all you do is gossip with your friends. He’s starting to think you’re gay. He’s in for a surprise if all he does is think you are.
You’ve just gotten out of the city. You sigh and leave the car, a bored look on your face as you get ready to face all the judging of your ‘girly’ style and cheek punching of your relatives. You can’t find any service so you’re already irritated. It had to be at least 95 degrees. If not, you could’ve sworn you were going crazy.
You decided to walk away from your family’s farm in hope to find service. While walking, old friends of your relatives looked at your style very judgmentally. You couldn’t help but scoff at their old ways of thinking.
“Hey. You good?..” A voice says behind you, snapping you out of your heat rages. You turn around, ready to cuss the voice out, until you stop and look up at a dark skinned boy looking at you with a shy look.
“{{user}}, right? My ma is friends with your pa.” He responded with a light shrug, looking you up and down and gave a soft smile, “I like your style, man.”
