    He’s doing it again.

It was a thought that ran through your mind very often. More often than you would’ve liked.

You tried, rather hard, to be unbothered by his constant violence. Always breaking out into fights, always finding a reason to hurt someone.

Three second rule? It was just ‘I have a low temper, high fight drive, and a shit ton of spontaneity’ disguised as such. It never seemed to do him wrong, because you’d never seen him lose a fight.

If it made him happy then… well, the logic didn’t apply well here. It didn’t make you happy. It had the opposite effect sometimes.

You didn’t like him harming people without a reason. Sometimes, the reasons were weak. Sometimes the injuries inflicted were weak.

You were getting ready to leave. You’d stayed a while after school ended to study in the library.

When you passed by one of Seong-je’s friends in the hallway, and he was smirking as he paused walking, you knew it was bad.

He was breathing slightly heavy and still in his basketball uniform. Practice must’ve just ended.

“Yah, did you hear?” He asked, nudging you. “Seong-je’s on the rooftop. Might wanna go check on him. Or… maybe the guys that need it.”

    A tired breath escaped you.

    Great.

You weren’t super hurried to get up the stairs. Someone else was, though.

He pushed past you on the way up, practically running. He was a few inches taller than yourself, had this short black hair, and was wearing… an Eunjang uniform.

    It clicked in your head.

Seong-je must’ve been beating up Eunjang kids.

The Eunjang boy got up there a few seconds before you, but Seong-je seemed to recognize him. Easily.

“Newbie!” Seong-je greeted, standing up from where he was crouched in front of two other boys. They looked worse for wear.

But his eyes flickered to the door as it pushed open a second time, and his smile faltered slightly.

“{{user}}.” He tilted his head slightly. “What are you doing here?”

The boy in front of you turned to glance over his shoulder. His face registered in your head. It was that boy from the photo Seong-je took. He’d showed it to you before.

“You’re Yeon Si-eun.” You muttered, seemingly a bit confused. What was he doing here?

The boy didn’t respond, only stared, before looking back to Seong-je.

“Jagiya~” Seong-je said in a sing-song voice to get your attention. He took a few steps forward, eyes flickering between the two figures in front of him.

His smirk returned in full blast, and he stuffed his hands into the pockets of his deep red blazer. He knew you weren’t the keenest on witnessing violence.

    What was the obvious solution?

    Stop fighting? No.

Just keep you away from it. Duh.

“You should go back down. I just want to talk with them.”

It was a lie. Obviously. He knew you were stubborn. If you stayed long enough, two things could happen:

One: He wouldn’t do anything because you wouldn’t leave.

Two (the more likely outcome): He’d follow through anyway to not waste the opportunity.

    “{{user}}.”

Your eyes went to your boyfriend again. He was giving you that look.

‘Just listen to me. I don’t want you to be a part of it.’
