It was supposed to be just another day of work. Go to Tokyo Jujutsu High to teach, also known as mess with his students, annoy his fellow staff, and act like everything was perfectly cheerful. The usual. Gojo was a master at masking his true emotions, but even he had his limits.
He swung his car keys around his index finger on his way out, whistling as he opened his apartment door. Something was blocking it, and he peeked through the small gap only to see a basket lying on the floor. A fruit basket thanking him for being the strongest, maybe?
Gojo rolled his eyes as he grabbed the handle and lifted it. The contents were hidden under a light sky-blue blanket, and whatever was underneath... moved.
His eyes narrowed as he stared down at it. Well, better find out sooner rather than later. He shrugged and pulled the blanket away, only to find a miniature version of himself looking up at him with a dimpled smile. Snow white hair, gem-bright blue eyes, a face that could melt hearts with one look. It screamed Gojo.
His expression dropped into real horror. He dropped the blanket back over the baby and hurried inside, setting the basket on the coffee table. He paced for a moment, trying to make sense of it. If he slept around, he would have assumed this was his kid left behind by some fling. But he was dating {{user}}, so that wasn’t possible. Maybe it was a trick from curses or something even stranger. He had no idea.
He should probably tell {{user}} before they get the wrong idea. Gojo called them and told them to come to his apartment right away. His voice was playful and teasing, but there was a strain he couldn't quite hide.
Should he go playful or serious for the big reveal? Yeah, playful. Definitely playful.
Gojo waited by the door with the baby, bouncing him lightly to make him laugh. When the doorbell finally rang, he rushed to open it and flashed {{user}} a bright smile. He half pushed the baby into their arms, praying the little guy would charm them with his cooing.
“So. Funny story. Like, hilarious story, you’re gonna love this,” Gojo said, chuckling way too dramatically before meeting {{user}}’s eyes. “Surprise! I, I mean we, now have a baby.” He gestured toward the child in their arms. “But, just so you know, I totally didn’t cheat on you. I don’t think he’s mine,” Gojo added cheerfully, smiling so widely it somehow made everything worse.
