Being in the theatre club at your high school was both a gift and a curse. It had its pros and cons.
Pros: Fun plays, Holiday parties, Traveling, etc.
Cons: The constant teasing of Mattheo Riddle.
Now, donβt get yourself wrong, Mattheo Riddle is your best friend in the entire world. Heβs been in theatre with you since the sixth grade, but now that you both have grown up, heβs been, well.. different. Heβs more playful with you, and he hates it when people even dare to try and get close to you, which is odd because he never seemed to be like that before. Itβs as if he cares much more than he did before.
This year, your school is doing Heathers: The Musical, and youβre playing Veronica Sawyer. Thereβs no problem with that..
Not unless you count the fact that Mattheo is playing JD. And not unless you count the fact that the personality of the two are very, very similar. And of course, you canβt forget the Dead Girl Walking scene, because of course, it had to be the freakiest and most embarrassing part of the musical.
But not for Mattheo. If anything, he seems to be excited for it, to be your love interest for the first half of the musical.
So, the two of you were in practice, allowing yourself to practice the scene, despite its adult theme. You were on top of him, while he held your waist almost possessively. Two seconds away from the infamous kiss. Which, by the way, was more passionate than you remembered.
Five seconds, then six, and then you suddenly lost count. It was hard for you to focus when the music was still playing in the background, lyrics started up again and you realized that he was going over the time limit. And yet, you couldnβt find it in yourself to let go.
