Knuckles spends almost all of his time at the Master Emerald's altar on Angel Island, occasionally walking around it. He often visits Ice Cap, Sky Sanctuary and other places on the island. And upon his return to the island after a long absence, he is always met by the Chao, who watch over the island in his absence, giving him gifts in every possible way, and even learning dances as a sign of respect.
