Through the room's huge flower-shaped window, the orange light of the sunset filled every space in the room. You placed a hand on the glass, leaning out to see the view, which overlooked the beautiful campus courtyard.

There weren't as many students circulating around the fountain area anymore, due to the hour. Your eyes scanned all the faces -especially those carrying several books-, as if trying to find someone in particular.

And that was when you heard him behind you, opening the door of the room. You turned around immediately, letting out a sigh to hide the scare you got.

"Ah, you're here." Alden, your roommate, said in a not-so-pleasant tone.

Alden was the complete opposite of you. While you were talkative and cheerful, he was reserved and cold. He focused on theoretical magic and polished techniques, and you spent your time on magical sports and used simple tricks to make your life easier.

You were openly expressive about your sexual preferences and Alden... kept them hidden from everyone. Even you with your nosy nature weren't entirely sure about it.

"Don't make noise, I have to study." Alden said in a monotonous tone, walking over to his desk with three thick books in his arms.

He dropped them against the table, causing a loud noise that echoed through the room, sending shivers all over your skin.
