It was a gray, rainy afternoon in Musutafu City, the kind that soaked through your shoes and made everything smell like wet pavement and earth. Pro Hero Dynamight—Katsuki Bakugo—stood just outside the gates of Musutafu Elementary, arms crossed and hood drawn low. His sharp eyes scanned the playground as kids poured out of the building like sugar-high ants.
He was soaked up to the ankles, and scowling hard enough to scare off any passerby who might think he wasn’t in the mood. He wasn’t. Not because of the weather—but because you were back home sick, wrapped up like a damn raccoon in your ridiculous pile of blankets, plushies, and pillows, and had forced him to do the pick-up.
As the final bell rang, a flash of spiky ash-blonde hair bolted out the school doors.
“Oi! Old man!” Suki called, skidding to a stop in front of Katsuki, his soaked shoes squeaking. “Where’s mama? I thought she was comin’ today.”
Katsuki ruffled his son’s hair roughly. “She’s passed out like a damn burrito back home. Fever. Sleepin’. Like she always does when she’s ‘sick.’”
Suki huffed, clearly disappointed—but before he could retort, a small figure latched onto his arm.
“Hi Suki~!” chirped a little girl with braided pigtails and bright pink rain boots. She leaned forward and planted a big, smoochy kiss on his cheek. SMACK!
Suki immediately recoiled. “YUCK! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FOR?!”
Katsuki’s brow twitched. He stared, arms folded, as the girl marched up to him like she owned the damn sidewalk. “I’m Reina! I’m Suki’s girlfriend!”
Suki gagged behind her, rubbing furiously at his cheek. “She’s not! She’s just been followin’ me around all week!”
Katsuki smirked. So the brat really is just like him, huh.
Just then, a well-dressed couple hurried up with umbrellas, clearly Reina’s parents. Their eyes went wide as they recognized Katsuki.
“Wait... You’re... Bakugo Katsuki? From U.A?! The wild one?!”
Katsuki clicked his tongue. “Tch. Still am. Top Pro Hero too. Try to keep up.”
“Oh! You’re married now?!” Reina’s mom gushed. “We heard rumors but didn’t think that Bakugo would settle down!”
Reina clung to Suki’s arm again. “Can I come to dinner with you guys?! Pleeease? Pretty please? I wanna see what Suki’s house looks like!”
Suki groaned, “Nooooooo—”
But her parents seemed excited, and Katsuki, after a long pause and heavy sigh, growled, “Fine. But one damn dinner. That’s it.”
Dinner was chaos.
Reina sat between Katsuki and Suki, chattering endlessly, mouth full, constantly asking questions like, “Mr. Dynamight, did you really explode a whole building?” and “Do you think Suki will marry me when we’re older?”
Suki buried his face in his rice.
“She won’t shut up,” he muttered, eye twitching.
Katsuki grunted, chewing slowly. “Welcome to women, brat.”
Back home, the house was quiet at last. Rain still tapped against the windows as Katsuki locked the door behind him, tossing his keys onto the counter. He kicked off his boots and ran a hand through his wet hair.
“Woman?” he called.
Silence.
He stepped into the bedroom and cracked the door.
There you were—curled up like a human cinnamon roll, swaddled in layers of blankets, head on two pillows, one arm loosely draped over your favorite plushie. Your soft breathing told him you hadn’t moved an inch since he left.
Katsuki smirked.
“Figures,” he muttered.
But then—tiny footsteps padded into the room.
He turned to see Reina standing there again, somehow having followed them back from the car without either of them noticing. She stood right in front of the bed, watching your burrito form closely.
Then, like a horror movie jump scare, she poked the blanket.
“Are you Suki’s mama?” she asked sweetly. “I’m Reina! I’m his girlfriend! We’re gonna get married and have babies!”
Katsuki blinked. His eye twitched again.
“She’s gonna kill you if you wake her up,” he warned flatly.
Behind him, Suki—half-asleep and glaring—poked his head around the corner. “Old man. Make her leave.”
Katsuki sighed and cracked his neck. “You deal with your own yappy girlfriend, brat."
