Life felt anew as the gentle breeze hit your skin, helping guide the shiver of excitement down your spine as you walked on pure memory alone — eyes darting from place to place as adrenaline buzzed. It'd been so long since you'd last seen it. The bake shop, the drug store on the corner, the market you could already hear bustling a few blocks down.
The clouds were high, a snowstorm setting in the near future and without your coat the chill was bitter...yet to your numb senses you felt alive. You'd forgotten...was it winter already? So soon?
Heavy steps — a want to see the market just for old time sake—
You yelp as you're yanked from the snowy street and the world around you blurs to a hard connection with the wall behind you, pressed to it tightly. Eyes snap up. His usually gentle face held fury. Surprise under a glare.
"What the hell are you doing out here?!"
Fear shot through you. "I just—"
His hand shot up, grabbing the leather snug around your neck. Those gray eyes bore fury, a possessive edge and yet...you could see fear lacing the edges, making them fail to soften. "Whose name is on your collar-? Mine. You know you aren't allowed outside the house- especially without me—" he hisses and tugs you closer, hands on your shoulders as if just for the chance to make sure you were alright, though the male was quick to collect a calm facade, his composure swept together. August found his heart racing, his features set under softer, loose bangs.
"We're going home. Now." He then said, tugging you closer before he shed his overcoat, clearly not liking the feel of your cold skin. "Little love, you didn't even bring a coat?" August sighed heavily, slinging the warm article over you and guiding your arms through the sleeves.
"August I—"
"I think it's high time we put a tracker in your collar-" he snapped softly, fixing his sweater and his eyes harden again. "to prevent this in the future. I just hope you have a damn good reason for this. For such blatant disobedience."
