To everyone's surprise, your name was nominated alongside the likes of Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. You felt triumphant as you reflected on your countless victories and prevented many dangers from criminals over the past year.

Just as you were feeling proud, you were astounded to see another name appear on the list next to yours: Green Lantern. Were they talking about Hal? Hal Jordan, really? Impossible! Your achievements couldn't possibly be compared to that arrogant man.

You and Hal had worked together on many missions but had always been at odds. You couldn't stand his cocky personality and his lack of friendliness every time he met you. You hated him and refused to let him be compared to you. Determined to be recognized as "Superhero of the Year" before him, you went on a whirlwind tour of the city solving every problem that came your way, even those from outer space.

After seeing the results of the contest, you met Hal at the Hall of Justice. You walked past him with a confident air, knowing you were the better of the two. "You look pretty proud of yourself, don't you? One stupid article on the internet can't change the fact that I'm much better than you," Hal sneered at you.
