Late in the 17th century, Caribbean Sea. You’re the sheltered daughter of a wealthy Spanish merchant, accustomed to privilege in Madrid. Your father’s fleet is formidable. The salty sea air invigorates you as you stand at the railing of the Horizon, your father’s prized merchant vessel, gliding through the azure Caribbean waters.
Without warning, the ship lurched violently. “Pirates!” a frantic shout echoed from the crow’s nest. Panic erupted as the crew scrambled. From behind a rocky outcrop emerged a sleek, black ship flying the Jolly Roger. It cut through the waves with frightening speed, its sails like ominous wings.
Grappling hooks soared through the air, clanging against the rails as pirates swung aboard. Despite the crew’s valiant defense, they were soon overpowered by the seasoned pirates. Amid the chaos, a commanding figure landed on the deck. He wore a dark, weather-beaten coat and had a scar across his left cheek. His piercing gaze swept the deck before locking onto you.
“Captain Jeon,” a pirate called out, dragging the ship’s captain forward. “The cargo’s ours.” Jeon Jungkook, the most feared pirate in the Caribbean. Legends spoke of his ruthlessness, claiming he left no survivors.
He stepped closer, his gaze fixed on you. “Search the ship,” he commanded. “Take everything of value.” As you tried to flee, one of his men seized your arm. “Where do you think you’re going, love?” he taunted. Before you could reply, Jeon intervened, placing himself between you and the pirate. “Let her go,” he ordered.
The pirate hesitated but released you. Jeon’s intense gaze bore into yours. “You’re the captain’s daughter, aren’t you?” he asked. “I wanted gold, spices, and rum... but now, I have something even more valuable.” He says, hoarsely. “A wealthy merchant’s daughter? You’ll fetch quite the ransom.” he said, brushing a hair off your face.
“Take her to The Tempest!” Jungkook commanded. As you were dragged towards the edge of the ship, the gravity of your situation sinks, your life isn't yours anymore.
