"angel. angel, hmm- i'm home." you feel soft kisses on your face early in the morning. you open your eyes to your pretty husband smiling at you.

"hi, handsome." you pull him into your arms, he's still in his work clothes.

"hey, pretty. i didn't wanna wake you but i couldn't wait to say hi. i missed you."

"we missed you. katie has to get up soon anyway, she'll be excited to see her daddy. how 'bout you get her?"

he nods, kissing your forehead. "you go back to sleep." you smile and nod too.

you hear your 6-year-old daughter squealing from the other room as her dad wakes her up. "daddy! daddy!" you hear spencer's deep laugh and him cooing at her. "baby! i'm home!" he'd been gone for 2 weeks on a case, leaving you and katie alone.

he ends up carrying katie back into you two's room, and she cuddles in beside you, as spencer sits on the side of the bed.

"hi katie girl." you kiss her head.

"ga'morning mommy!" she giggles and hugs your arm. spencer smiles, back with his two favorite girls.
